Happy Holidays!
I am sending you all warm thoughts and wishes for the season, and always more thanks for your interest and support of Humble Fabrics and Crafts.
I have a bunch of news to share with you all. First of which is the Alpha Building Community Collaborative update. I have just recently gotten the call to come sign a lease for the space and now I am finding that I need to make a decision to stay where I am or go to Nevada City or to do both by Tuesday for a proposed July opening. I would like to know what you think. Your ability to continue to shop happily will be effected greatly by this decision and I would love to hear from you if you have a minute. I have heard from some that they will happily come to Nevada City to shop Humble. I have had others express that they would not likely make it in there. Keep in mind that we will have our own parking lot in the back and elevators from that level to mine (these are the most common concerns). Thanks in advance for any insight you can give.
NEXT: The shop is beautifully full of my usual new and pre-owned crafting materials plus many new items I have never carried before. I now have new books on felting and sewing and craft supplies like pin backs, googly eyes, and glues and also crafting kits like soap making and screen printing and gorgeous new yarns like wools, bamboo, hemp, and alpaca. I have just gotten in a bunch of new clothing patterns that are complete and unused:) and lots of easy, cute and inexpensive gifts for the seamstress or crafter. I also have gift certificates.
I will be paring down my hours for the dark winter months, I hate getting out of here in the evening when it’s dark and its rare that I have a shopper after 5 even during these busier holiday weeks. I hope this does not inconvenience anyone. I will post the winter hours in the next newsletter when I’m sure what they will be. I will also be planning a trip to visit family during this time and I would like to share the dates when I know when it will be, I would hate for you to come out to see us and find us closed so I want to give you plenty of warning.
We had a super fun wet felting class and I’ve decided to do it again after the New Year, and also a needle felting class. This is a quick, easy and versatile craft. Keep your eye out for dates in the next newsletter.
I’ve added a few pictures of merchandise in the shop to fuel your imaginations (attaching the pictures this way is new for me, if you can't see it I 'm sorry:)
Have a wonderful Christmas everyone,
Roxy
